It Was His Only Baby
It Was His Only Baby

Ok, I’m sorry for scarring your eyeballs with that heinous fan manip, but…I just had to do it. I hope you’ll forgive me. (If you already know this story, you know I didn’t even need to show a baby since actual babies have yet to make an appearance in this fic, but just roll with it)
This particular fic is one that I read awhile ago, and I was absolutely drawn in by this premise. It was unusual enough to catch my attention, and I was really upset when I breezed through the 10 chapters that were up at the time and I wanted more. Then when I had to make the switch from my computer to Jeremy’s, my fan fic stash in my bookmarks was lost, and I had to start over from scratch. I nearly had a heart attack when I couldn’t remember the name of this one, and frantically searched for a few hours until I did.
Synopsis: Alice and Bella are in a relationship. Yes, they are lesbians. Yes, there is one (or two, I can’t remember) scenes of sex between them, but if that kind of thing bothers you (why the hell are you reading fan fic?), it’s not overly graphic in a disgusting way, it just gives a sense of the kind of loving and caring relationship Bella and Alice have in this story.
Bella and Alice have decided that they want to have a child together. After talking it over, they decide that they should ask Bella’s best and closest friend Edward Cullen to be the sperm donor.
From the start, Bella is nervous for some reason that she can’t explain to ask him, and we find out that when they first met in high school, Bella had feelings for him she never revealed. When she met Alice and began her relationship with her, those feelings for Edward had morphed into a friendship she felt comfortable with. Now she feels that asking him this will redefine their relationship again.
And she’s right.
Edward accepts and offers to do this for them, but he has just one condition…
…that they create the baby the natural way.
I know that this is a very unconventional premise for a story, and that might be enough to throw some people in the beginning. But this story is so amazingly written, and you feel every single emotion in this story, from the highs to the lows. You can really feel and understand the love between the characters, and you feel the excitement and fright they feel when they head down a path they didn’t even know was there before.
Also, don’t worry about Alice. A certain sexy southern gentleman we all know and love makes an appearance halfway through the story.
