It has finally been announced that Rob, Kristen and Taylor (The Trinity) will appear at the MTV Movie Awards, airing on June 6th, to show us a brand new clip from Eclipse!

Before, I wasn’t even going to watch this. Now, you know the drill. I’ll be watching, live blogging and twittering the live show, so come join me if you are so inclined. I can already tell it will be a blast.

So, in order to have the maximum Twilight moments on the show, we have to vote. I know it’s a pain, since you have to make an account at MTV to vote, but it only takes a sec, and you can use a junk email. Go vote for New Moon or it’s stars in every category they are nominated HERE!

Ok before we start I want to clarify that I’m doing a comprehensive post on the DVD’s available from major retailers in the U.S. If anyone has any questions about DVD’s from other countries, I will follow up in the comments.

The main retail entertainment company in Australia, Sanity Entertainment (which encompasses Sanity Music stores, Virgin Megastores and Virgin @Myer and HMV Music stores in Australia) also had an exclusive bonus disc with pre-orders of New Moon.

This contains (it is only avail on DVD not Blu Ray):
-Introducing the Wolf Pack
-Becoming Jacob
-Edward Goes To Italy

So, the best buy in my opinion was the Blu Ray, because you received all the special features from the DVD plus 2 extras and even more especially if it was pre-ordered through Sanity Entertainment to get the bonus disc.
(The great thing about the Blu ray is that BD Live (not sure what it is called in the US or internationally) may be tweaked in the near future to include some online content when using the Blu ray disc in the PS3 or regular Blu Ray player).

I’ve already done a post answering where the deleted and extended scenes are HERE, and while that seemed to help, there is still a lot of confusion out there about the other special features offered and how they are spread out. Hopefully I can clear that up if you still have any questions.

BASIC SPECIAL FEATURES:

In doing a search of Wal Mart (The Ultimate Fan Edition), Borders (Border’s Exclusive), Amazon (2 Disc Special Edition), Target (3 Disc Deluxe Exclusive) and Barnes and Noble (same version as Amazon, it just comes with a bag clip), it seems everyone gets the commentary from Chris Weitz and Editor Peter Lambert, the music videos, and rehearsal footage from Muse.

The 6 part documentary is also listed on all the special features of these versions, but the Wal Mart version (the one I have) and the Target version have different names for segments 4 and 5.

I’m not sure about the other versions since details aren’t listed on the other websites. I’m going to go ahead and assume that even though they are named differently, the two segments are still the same thing. But, this is Summit Entertainment we are talking about here, so you never know. If someone who has the Wal Mart DVD and the Target DVD is willing to write in and confirm or deny, I will post the info here.

But then their product description is really vague. I’m not sure if it’s different than other versions of not.

I have no idea what any of that is, especially the webcast. Never heard of it. If anyone who owns this version wants to clarify, I would be relieved.

A new still shows a possible deleted scene from New Moon, possibly when Edward and Alice bring Bella back home after Italy. Let’s keep our fingers crossed hoping this deleted scene is on the extra features of the DVD.

Another hopefully deleted scene I hope they include is Edward’s “moonless night speech”. How could that perfection have not made the movie?! I’m still bitter.

Taylor Lautner was interviewed by Rolling Stone for the magazine’s upcoming December issue, and he discusses New Moon, his character Jacob Black, and THE ECLIPSE TENT SCENE, people.

An excerpt:

Then she even says she loves you.
That’s why Eclipse was actually my favorite of the series. It’s the height of the love triangle. I think it’s going to be good. That tent scene is the biggest thing possible. She’s cold and I’m hot, so [since vampires are cold], are you going to let me crawl in the sleeping bag with her, or are you just going to let her die?

That’s what I mean. Why don’t you be like, “You guys stay there. I will get you an extra blanket so you can stay warm?” Or, “I’ll turn into a wolf and go skin some animals and make you a blanket.”
No, no, no. Oh my.

That said, I understand the book’s appeal: it’s a great fantasy for someone to have two powerful good-looking guys who can have anybody fighting over her. It’s a classic romance, with fangs and fur heightening it.
Definitely. And I admit proudly that I enjoyed the series. I was not a book reader at all. But then when I read them, they hook you. I feel like each book, and more so the movies, are just getting more exciting and better and better. With New Moon, you know, it’s not just the love story between these two anymore. Now there are three people, and it’s dangerous.

My favorite part of the interview:

What do you think of the whole part about Jacob’s “brother” imprinting on a two-year-old and falling in love with her, then keeping her around until she’s of proper age? Isn’t that a little weird?
Yeah, yeah. Let’s not go there.
