Fellow pervies out there, rejoice, because I have a story to share that you are going to go crazy for. You might even love it as much as you loved, “The Office”.

Yes, you read that right. I said, might be better than “The Office”!

Obviously, this story is rated M, and there are some very very explicit scenes in the story. Do not read this if you are under 18.

I actually only just heard of this story yesterday, when another amazing fic author 107yearoldvirgin (I rec’d her story Decoy earlier, so check it out if you haven’t yet!) had a quick poll on her facebook wall last night. She asked, “What’s the best sex scene you’ve read in FF?” By the time I saw it, there were about 40 replies on this wall post.

For some people, they would think, “tl;dr“, and continue on playing Soroity Life or whatever. But not me. I LIVE for threads like this! I mean, 40 replies, each most likely talking about a different scene in a story I probably have not read yet? And these are just specifically about the lemons!? OF COURSE, I’m reading it all, keeping my “to be read” list nearby!

As I dove in to the replies, I noticed a lot of people kept mentioning this story, “Last Tango In Forks”. There was a lot of talk about an, “up against the door” scene. My curiosity was sufficiently piqued.

This story caught my attention for a number of reasons. First, the title. “Last Tango In Forks” is definitely a nod to the Marlon Brando movie, Last Tango in Paris, which happens to be rated NC-17 for explicit sexual content. You may also remember that in one of their very first promotional interviews, Rob and Kristen mentioned watching the movie together (about 45 seconds in):

So, with all this in mind, plus all of this “against the door” business, I immediately found it and began reading.

And um, holy shitballs, y’all. The reason I compare this story to “The Office” so readily is because one thing the two stories have in common is they in no way prepare you for the hotness taking place in the first one or two chapters. You get right into it, very fast. There was no force on earth that would have kept me from reading on after I got to the end of Chapter One.

As you can tell by the title, the plot of this story is based pretty heavily on the plot of the movie “Last Tango In Paris.” In case you are unfamiliar with it,(like I was, expect for the “butter scene”), Wikipedia has a synopsis, but I’m only going to share the first few sentences of it here:

Paul (Marlon Brando), a middle-aged American hotel owner mourning the suicide of his wife, meets a young engaged Parisian woman named Jeanne (Maria Schneider) in an apartment both are interested in renting. Paul and Jeanne proceed to have an anonymous sexual relationship in the apartment, and Paul demands that neither of them share any personal information, not even their names.

In all 9 chapters up so far, this very accurately describes what the story is about.

Bella, who lives in Forks with her dad and is engaged to her best friend Jacob, is feeling a little crowded still living at home. While at the gym one day, she sees that an apartment is for rent above the dance studio next door. After informing her another interested renter showed up earlier, the land lady gives Bella a key and lets her go on up to take a look herself.

As she entered the dark room, she instantly noticed how warm it was. Guess there’s nothing wrong with the heat. She slipped her jacket off and dropped it to the floor, stopping to flip the switch in there as well, just to make sure. Damn. Frustrated, she fumbled her way through the darkness until she reached the other side of the room where the large window was. It had an ancient roll up blind, and when she pulled on it the entire thing snapped up quickly, shooting dust all over her.

“Shit!” she yelled, sputtering and coughing as she brushed herself off. When she had finally composed herself, she slowly turned around the room, taking it in.

And that’s when she screamed.

Sitting on the floor facing her, right on the other side of the door she had just entered, was a man. He made no move to get up at her outburst; he simply looked up at her as if he’d only now realized that she was in the room.

“Who the fuck are you?” Bella gasped, praying that she wasn’t about to become the first in a string of brutal rape/slayings to terrorize the Pacific Northwest. She was just about to yell at him again when she actually managed to look at him.

He was leaning back against the wall with his knees hugged close to his chest, wearing a white dress shirt that was unbuttoned a few times at the collar and what looked like designer jeans that had been artificially distressed; Bella knew that there was no way jeans that clean could have so many holes in them. His hair, which looked like some exotic mixture of bronze and copper, was sticking out in every direction as if he’d been shoving his hands in it repeatedly. His cheekbones and jawline were so chiseled that it almost hurt to look at them, the thick growth of stubble only serving to enhance their beauty.

Bella moved her eyes up slowly, hovering on the most luscious pair of full, pouty lips she had ever seen in her life. They looked soft and pink, and she couldn’t help but wonder how they would feel against her own or how they might taste. Continuing upward, she took in his long, straight nose before finally landing on a sight that made her breath catch in her throat.

Piercing jade eyes stared back at her, surrounded by longer lashes than any man had the right to possess. They were swollen and red, and it was obvious that he had been crying. She had never felt like more of an intruder than she did in that moment, but she couldn’t tear her eyes away.

He looked tragic… and broken… and heartbreakingly beautiful.

Bella suddenly remembered Mrs. Cope mentioning the lovely young man who had taken the other key. Well, if that isn’t the understatement of the fucking century!

“I’m sorry,” she whispered after managing to find her voice. “I didn’t know anyone was still up here. Mrs. Cope said she thought you had left.” He said nothing, but continued to stare at her as if he could see into her soul. Feeling the need to fill the awkward silence, Bella began rambling about whatever came to her mind. “Were you thinking of taking the apartment?” She glanced around the room. “It’s a bit of a dump, to be honest, but it has potential.”

When he still didn’t answer, she walked back into the kitchen, hoping to give him a moment to collect himself. It wouldn’t stop her mouth, though, which made no sense to her because she spent most of her time avoiding contact with everyone. “These cabinets aren’t too bad,” she called out, opening and closing doors. “There’s not much counter space, though.”

She went back into the living room and began critiquing the space, wondering to herself the entire time why she couldn’t just shut the fuck up. Because you want to hear him speak to you. You want to know if his voice is as beautiful as the rest of him. Spinning around slowly, she pointed out what furniture might look good where, and nearly jumped when she turned back around to find that he was standing in the bedroom doorway watching her.

“Any idea what she’s charging for this place?” Bella whispered. Christ, he’s tall. “I sort of… forgot to ask.” She blushed deeply, once again unable to look away from him. He simply stared back at her, and when he blinked again she saw a fresh set of tears slide down his cheeks.

Knowing that she had seen, he spun around and went back into the bedroom. Worried that she’d somehow embarrassed him, she followed after him.

Bella crossed the room and propped herself on the window ledge. “Listen… I’m sure you’d love for me to get the hell out of here. Even if you don’t want the place, it’s obvious that you need some privacy.” He grimaced in response to her words but maintained eye contact. “Are you alright?” After what felt like minutes he shook his head slowly. “It’s just that… I would feel terrible if I left here and didn’t at least try to help.” She tried to smile but it felt odd under his scrutiny. After a long pause she took a deep breath and bit the bullet. “Is there anything I can do for you?”

“Yes,” he choked out. Although his voice sounded raw to Bella as if he’d been screaming, she wasn’t surprised to hear the musical perfection behind it.

“What can I do?” She didn’t notice that she had stopped breathing until she needed to speak.

He moved then, slowly walking towards her like a wildcat stalking its prey. The closer he got to her, the more she could feel something growing and tingling, as if an electric current was shooting between their bodies. He didn’t stop until he was right in front of her with his arms on each side of the window, effectively caging her in. He even smells beautiful.

He looked deep into her eyes for almost a minute, allowing the electricity to build between them to a breaking point.

“You can let me fuck you,” he whispered.

Uh, *GULP*.

So Bella, throwing caution to the wind, decides to do something just for herself for the first time in her life. She indulges in a positively scorching affair with a handsome stranger who seems to be dealing with some demons of his own.

This story is pretty much perfect. The lemons are amazingly hot, the characters are very developed outside of the bedroom as well, the plot moves along at a great pace, and did I mention that the sex scenes are some of the best you’ll ever read? Go stock up on extra batteries, because you WILL need them.

Check that out here!

I was first drawn to this story by the title alone. It sounded very intriguing, and I just had to see what it was about. The summary read:

Senator Edward Cullen is the handsome scion of the Cullen family. A playboy’s playboy, he is taken with an intern in his office, Bella Swan. She is untouchable for many reasons, and he’s in a tough re-election battle with Jacob Black. AH,M Adult Content

Um, Senator Edward? Intern Bella? And Jacob is a jerky political rival? Uh, yes please.

Is that you, Senator Cullen?

Basic plot: Edward Cullen is a senator in Washington with everything hinging on the upcoming election. Not only is his career depending on this but his family is counting on him too, especially Alice and Rosalie, who have positions on his staff.

Isabella Cullen is a political intern who was attracted to work for Edward’s office based on his politics. Of course, his looks don’t hurt either. Special feelings, especially the ones that happen in the pants, develop, but their relationship is hindered by Edward’s obligations to his position. Obviously, a torrid sexual affair with a young intern who works for him is off limits.

To complicate things, her former boyfriend Jacob Black is Edward’s rival in the election. Finding out who Bella is working for doesn’t make him want to play fair.

Getting updates from this story is always a favorite part of my day. It’s sexy, it’s sweet, and it’s funny. Also, I can’t lie. I love the fact that Jacob is such a nasty villain in this story. It makes it easier to hate his character here, and also that much easier to root for Edward.

This fic is on nearly everyone’s top ten list. It’s actually pretty sad that I haven’t reviewed here already, since it’s one of the best out there. The story line is very unique, and I haven’t seen it done anywhere else.

I used this gif as an illustration for this fan fic because…well, you’ll see.

This fic is on nearly everyone’s top ten list. It’s actually pretty sad that I haven’t reviewed here already, since it’s one of the best out there. The story line is very unique, and I haven’t seen it done anywhere else.

Short synopsis: Edward is a male stripper, and Bella decides to use him as subject for her psychology thesis.

Let me say that again. Edward. Is. A. Male. Stripper.

Because of that, the potential for cheese is pretty high, but I think some of the best scenes in the story are when Edward’s…uh…routines are being described. For example:

Victoria crossed the red line now and gave me a hard yank on my leash.

It begins.

I fell to my knees and roared hard, pulling backwards slightly, not giving her that much of a real struggle. But we always made it look good.

“Come on, you stubborn little PRICK!” she groaned, struggling and dragging me over the red line now, into public view.

I am now captured vampire, being dragged to my cage to entertain mortal women. Edward is gone now.

“RRRRRRRR!” I growled, bucking back again, slowly being moved towards tables of women, getting closer to human blood.

“Don’t be afraid, ladies. I’ve got him under control.” Victoria announced as she brought me closer. Right away I heard screams, giggles, and cat calls.

“This is our vampire.” Victoria had a little microphone on her lapel as she spoke.

I lunged away and hissed loudly as the human women as they screamed louder, liking me already, it seemed.

“He’s being very naughty tonight.” Victoria groaned, pulling me harder, “And he’s going to be punished by all of us, later tonight!”

Screams, giggles. I crawled reluctantly, struggling a little more.

“But be careful, he bites.” Victoria said with a sexy twang in her voice, getting eager shouts from the customers, “He’s very dangerous so we keep him in his little cage over here.”

I crawled behind her through the tables, and felt a few hands reach out and touch me briefly as I continued my fake struggling. Getting closer to the cage, I made one last attempt at freedom by roaring, leaping up and grabbing a table where three younger girls were sitting. They all screamed as I growled, showing my teeth and clutching their table, looking right at them as Victoria dragged me away by my hair.

“Bad BOY!” Victoria threw me into my circular cage, closing the door as I hissed again at her, my face angry and lethal. I lunged forward at her, reaching my arm through the bars and grabbing her dress as she turned, about to start the show.

Women were howling at us, laughing and cheering as Victoria turned to me, and using the disconnected leash, she whipped my hand until I retreated into my small little cell, growling in slight pain, holding my arm, licking the hurt area as more women roared.

“If you’re good, later, maybe I’ll let you have some friends in there with you.” Victoria threatened me with the leash again while I growled defensively now, showing full teeth, “How about it, girls, who wants to spend a little time in the cage tonight?”

The volume was enough to pop my eardrums out as they all screamed and howled again.

“Alright, ladies!” Victoria went to the main stage now, leaving me in my cage, but that didn’t mean I just stood there, bored. I had to keep playing my part as kidnapped vampire.

The writing in this story makes it all the more compelling, and even though these are pretty unusual circumstances, the story progresses at a pace that feels natural. This Edward is one of the best I’ve ever read in fan fic. You go from being thrilled by him on stage, to really wanting to understand his life and why he ended up in this profession. Some of the descriptions of what he has to endure really makes you feel for him, and I can’t imagine it’s that far off from reality.

Plus, the lemons in this story are pretty juicy. You probably already guessed that, since I’m rec’ing it.

Last week, I was searching around for good fics to read (even though I already have an unread list a mile long) when I came across this story on fanfiction.net. The summary written by the author was very intriguing:

An old, dilapidated hospital residing in the outskirts of Forks, WA sits untouched, yet it’s the focus of many tales, including one of a young man who resides there. He’s believed to be either ghost or murderer. But it’s all just tales, right?

Of course, I plunged right in.

I finished all the chapters up of this story (there were 14 when I started) in about an hour and half. I could not stop reading this. This is so unlike anything I’ve read before, and I just HAD to know what was going to happen.

Summary: Bella’s friends convince her to go with them to the abandoned spooky hospital to look for the ghost rumored to haunt the place. When she is separated from the rest of the group, she is confronted by a beautiful green eyed man (the “ghost”) who is too frightened to speak to her, or even come near her. Bella knows she should tell someone about the boy living alone, but she is intrigued about where he came from, why he’s there, and what happened in his past to completely him.

I have never been more disappointed that a fic wasn’t finished by the time I found it. An update came today and even though I had pee like a racehorse, I read the entire chapter before I went to the bathroom.

Just a warning though. This story is totes angst central. This story contains remembrance of some abuse, so if that kind of stuff bothers you, then proceed with caution.

There are no lemons yet (Bella has only just now been able to brush fingers with Edward and not have him freak out), but I am optimistic. Plus, the author JMCullen09 has rated her blog for the story with adult content on blogger, so I’m pretty excited. I’m really interested to read the progression of Bella and Edward’s relationship with such a huge hurdle to get over together.

Also, this story happens to have an amazing playlist, so be sure to check that out while you’re reading.

LOLTASTIC UPDATE: So our ads in the sidebar usually coincide with whatever content is posted. The other day when the photos of Bella’s engagement ring were posted, wedding and ring ads were all over the place.

Now that I’ve posted something with “fan fiction” in the title, when I went to see if the post looked ok, there is a google ad saying, “Fan Fiction readers: Check out this dating site just for Geeks!!”.

I laughed my ass off.

This story is only 3 chapters so far and already has over 400 reviews. It is that good.

If you have seen the 80’s movie Can’t Buy Me Love, or hell, even the 1999 movie She’s All That (and if you haven’t at least seen that one, then get the eff out of here and go rent it. Otherwise, we just can’t be friends.), then you have the basic plot of this fic. Bella is the weird outcast, who due to some unusual circumstances, becomes a part of the super hot and popular Edward’s social group their senior year.

This fic is pretty funny. It defintely has it’s LOL moments, like the first time Bella sits with Edward at lunch:

“Are you lost?”

I look up at Jessica Stanley, who is sneering at me like I’m lice in her stringy hair.

“What?” I ask quietly.

Edward slams his plate down next to me and slumps down in the chair to my left. “What’s the problem, Jessica?”

“She’s sitting at our table,” she huffs. Her eyes dart to the left and she snickers. “Weirdos sit over there.”

Edward picks a pepperoni from his pizza and flicks it onto his napkin. “Then I guess you should head that way, shouldn’t you.”

It isn’t a question. It is a directive and she…complies.

“Oh my god,” I breathe in awe. “What a lemming.”

There are only 3 chapters, but these are LONG chapters. For the amount of story and character background already established, it would be around 6 chapters in any other fic.

In terms of the citrus, there has already been a teeny little slice so far, but I can tell they are going to be good. I’m recommending this early because so we can all read what’s up so far and be waiting for updates together.

Read the story HERE. (I’m a total dumbass and had this post up for like an hour with no link to the story. Sorry! )

So read these chapters and let me know what you think! And while you’re at it, please leave some love for author 107yearoldvirgin in her reviews section!

We have finally picked a name for the new fan fiction site!

All the suggestions we recieved on our post asking for help were so creative and fitting that we had a very hard time deciding on just one. We had to go through the list of suggestions and see if the domain names for sites were taken. The ones that weren’t already taken, we threw in a hat and picked randomly.

As you can tell in this posts title, we went with Jessica’s suggestion! We will be emailing her to get her information ASAP, and for helping us out, we will be sending her a gift as a thank you!

She will recieve the New Moon the Movie: Trivia Card Game! If you would like one for yourself, they can be ordered at the link on amazon.com!

It was very close, which is why it took 2 days, because everyone had such good suggestions. We want to thank everyone so much for their help, and I wish I was a millionaire so I could all send you out on a date with Robert Pattinson (or another Twilight guy of your choice.)

I will be working around the clock to get this site launched as soon as possible. Thanks everyone.

As I mentioned in the big summary of all the drama going on in the fanfiction world right now, due to all the craziness, Jeremy and I have started work on another archive site for fan fic authors, so they have a safe place to post where they won’t be bullied or have to deal with admins who ignore them.

We have been working hard on the new site for about a week, and I can’t wait for it to be up and running so we can work on making things right again for the readers and authors alike.

So this is where you guys come in. We need your help in coming up with a name for the website.

The name can be Twilight related, since we expect that Twi fans and authors will be the majority of the people using the site, but we don’t know if we will make the site exclusive just yet. Twilight and non-related Twi names are all welcome. Also fan fics with mature content are A-OK with us, so the name can reflect that too (I myself have been trying to think of a name with “lemon” worked in there somewhere).

So I am appealing to you, dear readers, to leave your suggestions for a site title in the comments. Depending on how many people respond, we might do something pretty special for the commenter who suggests the name we pick! Please share your best ideas and also leave us any feedback on what you want to see from the new fan fiction site in the comments!

*UPDATED*

A name has been chosen! We want to thank everyone so much for the help in coming up with the name.We are working on hard on making the new site live and we are so excited! Stay tuned…

Even if you don’t have an account at fanfiction.net, you have probably heard about all the crazy stuff going on over there in the Twilight fandom. There is a lot of misinformation floating around, so hopefully this post clears some of that up. If you don’t have an account there but you are wondering why your favorite stories are disappearing from the site, read on.

First of all, in order to really understand why all of this is taking place, you need to understand the history of fanfiction.net. An in-depth summary can be read here, but the main aspect you need to be clear on is the rating system for the site. Twilight Awards posted a great synopsis about this, explaining:

FFn used to have an MA/NC17 rating and an age confirmation tool on their site. And then the lawyers came calling.

They were hit with a bunch of cease & desist letters and threats of lawsuits if they did not put an end to those stories on their site. Why? Because the true copyright holders, the people who own the characters we play with in fanfiction, had a problem with their creations being turned into smut on a site that is hugely popular with underage readers. FFn had two options:

Get rid of the MA/NC17 rating altogether OR

Stop allowing fanfiction that included those characters.

Read the rest of the post at the link, but this is a pretty good explanation of why FF.net has this seemingly unusual policy when it comes to explicit content. Also, it has to do with advertising. Many companies don’t want their products advertised on a site where adult only content is displayed. FF.net stands to lose a lot of ad dollars if they bring back the MA ratings, so I wouldn’t hold my breath for that to happen, no matter how many pleading emails or mile long petitions they receive.

So for the past few years, FF.net would pretty much look the other way when it came to explicit lemons, enjoying the revenue that results from the traffic of these stories and not following the deletion policy unless a story was reported. That’s where we are now.

A group active on FF.net calling themselves the Literate Union has decided for whatever reason, to target the members of the Twilight fandom on the site. Citing the Terms Of Service (that according to livejournal site twilightenabler, clearly says “No explicit content”) that every member on FF.net agrees to when they sign up, they report stories that violate it.

As you can imagine, a good chunk of rated M Twilight fan fic is in direct violation of the TOS and FF.net has not hesitated to delete more than a few stories with no warning after it has been reported a number of times.

This is where the Literate Union comes in. Stories that are not up to their standards in terms of grammar, spelling and content are brought to the attention of all members. Then they are compiled in a “Shit List” (yes, they really call it that) so members know what to report next. Some members leave nasty warning reviews to new authors, cruelly insult Twilight fans and authors who try to find out why they are doing this, and laugh and gloat every time they check a fic off the list. More on how they operate here and here.

In could-maybe-somehow-be-related-news, if you are an author with work posted on FF.nett and you got an email demanding you take down content, please read Wide Awake author angstgoddess003’s post on her livejournal HERE. There is something really fishy going on, and those emails may not have been legit. Read more about “James” here. *UPDATE* Another great investigative post HERE!

It’s mean. It’s bullying, plain and simple. But unfortunately, there is not much we, as individuals or a group, can do about it. FF.net is not going to step in here. Even though they stand to lose a good chunk of change if all the Twilight fan fic authors leave and post stories elsewhere and readers follow, they still won’t care. They did just fine before Twilight fans came along, and they will be just fine if we all leave. If it makes you feel better, sign that petition (I have personally signed several) and email the admins. Chances are, you won’t receive a response anytime soon.

So what to do? Well, several of your favorite stories and authors have already moved their work to other fan fic sites. Twilighted and TWCS are two alternative sites that are quickly becoming popular as a result of this drama. I have an account at each, and they are a decent alternative for authors and readers alike. To see if a story you were following has moved to another archive and for a general list of fics moved, check here.

Also, Jeremy and I have started work on another fan fiction archive site, which we are hard at work on as I type this and we will have up ASAP. We are working together to make it as user friendly as possible, so if you have any feedback you want to give while we are still in the beginning states of building it, please feel free to leave it in the comments or send me an email. We are pretty excited to share this with everyone, and we hope to be a safe haven for authors who feel they have no place else to go. Stay tuned for updates on this new project.

In the meantime, we all need to just learn to brush our shoulders off. Don’t let all the drama get to you. This will blow over and things will back to normal soon. If you’re an author, take all the proper precuations to back up your work and reviews (learn how here), and research your options in terms of posting on another archive. Dedicated readers will follow the story anywhere.

If you have any more questions, please post in comments and I will try my best to get answers for you. Knowledge is power in a situation like this, and the more we all know about this situation, the better we can find a solution.

I don’t know why it has taken me so long to rec this fic, I’ve been reading updates and loving them for about a month now. This is a fic that I actually make settling in to read it an event. When I see I have a new chapter waiting in my inbox, I do a little happy dance. Then I prepare. I get my nice comfy pillows and settle them just so. I fix myself a cold Dr.Pepper and usually find something chocolate-y to snack on. Only when I have all these things within reaching distance am I ready and able to take on the angst of this story. The angst is at 100%, in every paragraph of this story, and you definitely feel it alongside Bella and Edward as they struggle to live together.

The story opens with Bella’s estranged husband Edward (who is appears at first to be a bit of an ass) calling her to his office and informing her that they are about to be taking a trip to Colorado because his father has recently passed away and they are going for the funeral.

This is a big deal because Bella and Edward do not have any semblance of what could be called a relationship, much less a marriage. You get the sense right away that something completely horrible and awful has happened to totally break these two people, and destroy any semblance of a chance to be happy together. Then as they decide to try to live together all alone in a huge deserted house, the story progresses and you get more glimpses into their history through flashbacks, you start to realize that maybe they were doomed from the start.

I don’t want to give away too much of the story because it really is best to find out what’s happening as you read, but even if you aren’t much on the emo stuff you will still enjoy this story. This isn’t mindless fluff without a real plot, this a portrayal of what can happen when two people hurt each other nearly beyond repair, and they manage to put the pieces back together again.

Also, make sure to have tissues when you are reading this story. If you’ve ever been in a difficult relationship or have been left by the one you love for someone else, you will definitely need them.

There are a lot of great fan fictions out there. I know, I’ve read plenty and I’ve even gotten around to organizing the ones I’ve reviewed into a handy library to make the best of the best easier to find for all you readers out there. A really great story will make you feel something, be it amusement at the crazy situations the characters get into (Wallbanger, anyone?), fear and anticipation for what’s going to happen (Midnight Caller), or extra tingly in your private bits from the lemons (The list for that one goes on and on).

I opened this one 2 days ago on a whim, and I knew I was going to write about it here before I was finished with the first chapter.

Before we get into the details, this fic is all human and rated M. Do not read if you are under 18.

The story opens with Bella driving back into Forks after a long absence. She is not coming back for happy reasons.

She is engaged to Mike Newton, a lawyer she has worked with in her job as a court reporter. You can tell right away the relationship is not a great one, and I got the impression from the description of their lives that she is using the relationship with Mike as a band-aid or distraction from something, or someone else. We all know who that someone is.

Bella and Edward have grown up together their entire lives. The relationship between them is not the typical one you would expect under those circumstances, because there is a vast power imbalance between them.

Why? Because Edward can read Bella’s mind just by touching her skin.

Due to tragic circumstances (seriously, tragic. I cried more than once while reading this), they are thrown together after not seeing each other for years. The sexual chemistry is definitely there (this is still a version of Edward we’re talking about here), along with lingering feelings of resentment from an incident that happened a few years earlier that was the catalyst for the long period of no contact.

This is not the average cookie-cutter fic. This is one of the best written things I’ve ever read. Ever. This author could honestly be published one day, I would bet money on it. I can’t even describe how this story made me feel while I was reading it; it impacted me in a big way. I laughed, I cried, I tingled. This is my favorite Edward and Bella out of all the fics I’ve read, and I don’t say that lightly.

If you’ve never read fan fiction before, and never before felt like you should, read this. I promise you will not regret it at all. This reads more like a book than a fan fiction, and the relationship between Edward and Bella is not cheesy, not unbelievable, not perfect. It’s extremely flawed, but believably so. If you only read one fic that I rec, ever, let it be this one.
