Fresh New Moon Movie Merchandise

According to the British merchandise website Forbidden Planet, there are going to be not one but TWO New Moon movie calanders avaliable soon. The first image above is from the wall calander, which says on the website will be out at the end of July.

The next calander is a cute desk calander that also has a new promotional image.

The listing for this on the website says to expect this one around October.

I’m already fighting the urges for every piece of New Moon merch that’s been released and there’s not even really anything out yet. I was talking the other day about how I’m going to pace myself in terms of the merch this time around, but I can already tell it’s going to be difficult.

Let’s talk about the new pictures. I like that they used a shot that was all Cullens for the wall calander, but then it also just reminds me of how much I’m not really feeling the make-overs some of them got. I still can’t even look at Jasper, it literally pains my eyeballs. I also don’t like Esme’s hair. Why did they have to change it? In Twilight, she looked just like someone from the 30′s-40′s would wear if they could time travel but still wanted to look modern. It was perfect. Now she looks like a soccer mom who just got a blow-out at the mall.

And also, Edward looks ill in all the New Moon photos released so far. I understand that he’s heartbroken and all, but he literally looks like he’s trying not to vom in every single one.

I do have to say I like the the desk calander with him, Jacob and Bella on the cover. I like how they are both looking at the camera, but Edward is such a rebel and looking off to the side, deep in thought about his anguish over leaving Bella.

I cannot frackin’ wait for this movie!

Thanks to Twilight Sweden, we have three drool worthy pictures from the movie, and there is one in particular the Team Jacob fans (and the rest of us closet pervs) will adore.

And the best for last….(Drumroll PLZ)

Yep, that’s Jay-Tay (I made that up just now, because I’ve never really seen a blending of the two names like we have for Robward. Feel free to use it anytime you need it) wet and naked. Dripping wet, and naked.

Yep…Just wanted to make sure you got the fact that he is DRIPPING WET and NAKED, and the water is sliding down his musucular chest…

And that’s all I’m going to say about that. I’m pretty much speechless right now, so ‘m goinna go and erase my hard drive so I don’t get into trouble for looking at this picture so long.

Dr. Carlisle Cullen IS Dr. Love

The other night I was watching one of the best movies of all time, Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion, with my sister and her boyfriend. He had never seen it, and of course that needed to be rectified right away.

When we got towards the end of the movie, where Sandy Frink (the school dork who had a crush on Michele) lands in a helicopter at the reunion, they played the Robert Palmer song, “Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)”. Here’s the clip from the movie. The song begins at the 5:05 mark (but the moment at 2:04 is one of my favorite parts of the movie).

If you have never seen this movie, Netflix it now. You’ll thank me.

Anyway, as we were watching that part I thought, “Wow. What a perfect song for Carlisle. I bet someone has made a fan video for him on youtube with this song.” Lo and behold, when I check Letters To Twilight today, they have a post about the good doctor with this fan video included.

That one is pretty good, although watching it, I realized exactly how little he’s in the movie. I know it’s pretty much impossible, but can we have a decent amount of Carlisle in New Moon? That would be pretty great.

One song I think would be great for a Carlisle fan video is “Doctor Love” by Kiss. This is the song being used in all the Cherry Dr. Pepper commercials on TV with Gene Simmons. This song is now on my iPod. I also quickly looked for a Carlisle fan video with this song, but no luck.

This is the re-record for the commercials but if you kind the original, it’s pretty good.

The lyrics are pretty racy, so that’s why I think it would be perfect. “I got the cure you’re thinking of…” Oh, yes you do Carlisle. Yes you do.

See? Esme knows what’s up.

Oh, How I Wish I Was A Vampire

If you haven’t read the entire series yet, spoilers ahead!

When I read the Twilight saga for the first time, I found myself a little frustrated by Edward’s reluctance to turn Bella. I was completely on her side throughout the entire series when she wanted to become a vampire.

It just made sense on so many levels. As a vampire, Bella would be relatively safe from all the harm from other vampires she was subject to as a human. Victoria would have had a way harder time trying to kill her, that’s for sure. The Volturi also couldn’t have had a problem with Bella knowing about the vampires, since she would actually be one of them. The most important reason, to me, was that if Bella was a vampire she and Edward could be together for, literally, forever. That was basically the only reason I needed to understand why Bella wanted to become one so desperately. When she finally got her wish (although I hated the way it happened), I was triumphant, even though I knew it was the main conflict of the series and this happening meant it was over.

Since reading Twilight, I’ve realized how many of my personal life problems wouldn’t even be an issue if I were one of the Cullen’s. No money for fun stuff? No problem, the Cullens are rich beyond my wildest imagination, so that would be no issue. In fact, having an unlimited amount of money with the smarts to always earn more would solve a LOT of problems.

Need to lose a few (more like 30) pounds? That’s cool, because as a vampire, you are instantly turned into the hottest version of yourself, and no more wondering how many calories are in your favorite sweets. You only need to consume cone thing to live, and that’s blood. As a vampire, you can’t get fat since you stay at peak physical condition, so exercising (which you wouldn’t even need to do for reasons other than recreation) would be no hardship.

I get frustrated when I have tons to do yet I need to sleep. What could I do with all that extra time that not needing sleep would free up? I might end up spending it like Emmett and Rosalie (heh heh) or like Edward or Carlisle, studying every possible topic in the world and earning several fancy degrees. Either way would be pretty productive.

Being a vampire just sounds pretty freakin’ awesome to me. Never getting sick, staying young and healthy with the ones you love forever, it’s a sweet deal all around. Woah. That’s all I can say after watching this, espeically from 2:19 on. It was sexy and scary at the same time. I’m not going to lie, even though that must hurt real bad, I wish that was me he had dragged to the floor like that.

Um ok. So Rob/Edward totally grabbed Kristen/Bella’s breast in that last scene. UNDER THE SHIRT. That is…I don’t even know what to say about it. Wow. Just…wow. That was the most erotic thing I ever seen in my life. Kristen’s boyfriend should just bow out gracefully after that. Geez. I’m fanning myself over here.

Where is this from? The DVD at Target?…Jeremy will let me get two copies of Twilight, right? *crosses fingers*

First Glimpse Of Cast On New Moon Set Plus New Moon Movie Poster (March 13, 2009)

Photos from the set hit the internet today of the cast taking a break as they do wardrobe testing and adjustment. They are trying out wigs on certain characters this time, Nikki Reed mentioned in a recent interview that dyeing her hair blonde made it fall out. Her wig is a little obvious, but it looks like Rosalie to me. Jackson’s wig looks pretty good, he cut his hair for another film, but I’m glad to see the sexy Jasper hair is back.

The first picture I saw of Taylor made me say, “Woah!” He’s looking pretty buff, but his wig looks…girly. It looks how I want MY hair to look. It’s got volume, bounce and shine!

It's kind of looks like he is shooting a laser out of his eyes!

And the character I was looking most forward to seeing…you know the one…Edward Cullen. He looks delicious (a little too heavy on the makeup though).

Those ever present Nike’s. I wonder if Rob will be wearing those in the movie, if he will make them an integral part of Edward’s style, like the pea coat.

Rosalie Hale Is A Bitch

I got hooked on the Twilight series because of Edward Cullen. He was just so awesome, one of the best characters I’ve ever read about and he was enough for me to love the books. But when we were all introduced to the Cullen family, it was an added surprise. I wasn’t expecting to like all of them the way I did, and they helped me to better understand Edward’s life and his attitude.

I love Carlisle because he’s just an all around bad ass. I love Esme for being so sweet and motherly. I love Emmett for making everything funny, and being so single minded when it comes to fighting or his family. I love Jasper because he has so much vampire fighting experience and he has the awesome power of changing moods. I love Alice because she is just so ALICE. She predicts the future, is as sweet as Esme, and she likes fashion.

But there is one member of the Cullen family I really can’t stand. I understand how she is integral to the story by giving us another take on Bella’s ultimate decision. I understand and even appreciate why her character needs to be there. But I still hated reading about her.

Well, I alternated between hating her and feeling sorry for her throughout the series. In Eclipse when she told Bella the story of how she became a vampire, I thought it was really mature of her to state her reasons for being so against what Bella wanted (p.s, I also thought the way she got revenge was pretty sweet too. That’s exactly what I would do!). What happened to her was awful and I understand her resentment of that, and the way she had to give up without a choice the thing she wanted most, a child.

Aside from all that, I still thought she was so immature to treat Bella the way she did. Did she not understand that she and Bella are two different people and so the same decision is not always right for two different people? Bella was becoming a vampire by choice, for love. Just because Rosalie didn’t have that choice doesn’t mean she should treat Bella the way she does. What was the purpose of that? If she was a big enough bitch, then Bella would change her mind?

I don’t hate Rosalie because she is beautiful, self centered, conceited, and extremely selfish. I understand this is what makes up her character, and she was needed to prove that even the vampires have flaws. But I like I said earlier, reading about her was not pleasant.

She was the worst in Breaking Dawn. When Bella first called her, I was like, “WTF are you doing, Bella?! Are you crazy? All she wants is the ba- OH. Ok. I get it. Good thinking then.” Bella counted on Rosalie to not care at all about her, but instead have concern for the baby alone, because that’s what she needed. Bella was desperate to save the baby, and she knew in Rosalie she could find that. It just made me grit my teeth every time Rosalie did or said something to make it clear she didn’t care if Bella lived or died, like when she took the baby as soon it was born and ran out with her without a care for what happened to Bella.

I really hope if or when Stephanie Meyer writes another book about anyone in Twilight, I really hope it isn’t Rosalie. I would really like to have the entire series from Edward’s point of view. I want to know what he was up to while he was gone in New Moon. It would be a very interesting read, to say the least.
