@Lollipop Dreams- I disagree. I think people can write whatever they want, as long as they put the proper rating on it. Of course, if ff.net doesn’t allow NC-17 stuff to be published there, then I think it’s perfectly ok for people to move their stuff to another site. A private site makes the rules that it’s user’s have to abide by if they want to use it.

Tch. Sounds like a bunch of pissed-off twitards. But whatever. The LU is seeking to make the website better for all of those who use it. People as young as thirteen can join FFN. I wouldn’t want to be reading NC17 fics myself. Anyone who writes smut like that deserves to have their fics deleted.

As a reader, this is exactly what I want too. One place where everyone knows is safe to read and post. I have an account at Twilighted, which is the big fish out there, but I’m going to be honest, I pretty much hate it there. Once you get in it’s totally fine, but sometimes my account doesn’t work for no reason, sometimes my passwords don’t work anymore when I didn’t change them and then I have to change it for real just to log in that one time. Then the process starts all over again when I want to log in to the message board.

We are making a message board too, but it’s all going to be at once location. Hopefully that will cut down on most of the frustration.

I like how you’ve essentially outlined wtf is going on. The only thing i’d like to see come out of this is a single place where authors can do a quick “hey we’ve been fucked and we’re moving here” that way their fans can seek out the fics that have been moved. I know EP had been moved because she posted it. There are countless other fics that i’ve subscribed to that are MIA. I cannot wait to see what ya’ll are coming up with.
