Photoshop Not The Pattinson!

Do we really have to go through this again, people? I thought I had it covered the first time we went through this.

Let me reiterate. This is Robert Pattinson. He is 100% perfect looking as he is. No, seriously. God and his parents made him this way.

This guy needs NO photoshopping, no airbrushing, no manipulation or anything to make him look sexier. Not at all. In fact, if he’s even slightly photoshopped, so many women worldwide have spent so much time examining every detail of his perfect face that it becomes painfully obvious.

Thankfully, no one has tried “mirroring” his face, like I discussed last time. I shudder just from the memory of that. But the maipulation of his facial features is still pretty obvious here.

Exhibit A: TodaTeen Magazine. (see full scans here)

This one took me a minute. I looked at it for longer than I normally would have because I knew right away there was something slightly…off about it. Something is just not quite right. After I studied it for awhile, the best I can figure out is that they shrunk the size of his eyes? And put them…closer together? I’m putting question marks behind those statements because I’m very unclear as to why someone would think this is a good idea, much less follow through and print it.

Exhibit B: One Magazine (see full scans here)

My first thought on seeing this magazine was, “WOW. They really love their photoshop tools.” I mean, look at the JoBros up there. The sheen from their hair is blinding me.

Let’s take at their version of Rob’s face.

Look at his cheeks! They really hollowed out those bad boys, he looks like he hasn’t eaten in a week! Is this photo the reason the New Moon mini Edward looks like a skeletal zombie in the face? (You can kinda see it in this picture here, but the lighting really hides a lot of it. It’s like half his face is gone since the cheeks are missing. I picked up one of the action figures at the mall and I nearly died when I saw it. If you haven’t seen one of these in person yet, do so ASAP so you can understand what I’m talking about.)

Aside from the cheeks, what did they do to his eyebrows and eye color? They totally changed the color of both! If you notice on the actual cover, they’re nearly black but then inside the magazine, they changed them to be the same color as his hairline.

Magazine people, please. You don’t have to resort to this. Trust, we KNOW what he actually looks like. No one is fooled, and everyone notices.

So which one do you think is more scary? I really can’t decide, and I don’t like looking at either of them for too long. It’s just too wrong.
