Fan Fic Reccomendation: The Submissive, The Dominant, and The Training

Yes, it’s that time again. I have another lovely fan fic reccomendation of you all (this time three in one!), and as always these fics are rated M, meaning they are for over 18 only. Please skip this post and the story links if you are not old enough to go see a rated R movie. (Also, to my mom (and any other family members who may have happened over here) who sometimes reads this blog? For the love of all that is good and holy, you please skip this post too.)

In case you haven’t guessed by the title of the stories, the content of these is a little more “extreme” than the other fics I have posted about before. These stores are about the BDSM lifestyle (read more about that here), so please understand that this kind of material is not for everyone. There is no rape or humilation in either of these stories, I would never reccomend that, but I just want to warn you that this is most likey way different than anything you have ever read before, so prepare accordingly.

If you are even vaguely aware of the more popular Twilight fan fics, then chances are you have heard of at least one of these before. The three fics, The Dominant, The Submissive, and The Training, are all written by the amazingly talented tara sue me, who is one of the best ff writers out there. It seems that when the first story, The Submissive, was published, this was a unique concept, but with the enormous popularity of her series, many copy cats have followed. I have been trying to work my way through a few of those, so I can say with confidence, do not be fooled. Her stories are the best.

In the first story, The Submissive, Edward is a practicing Dom in the BDSM lifestyle. (If you have heard someone discuss an Edward in a ff using the term “Domward”, this is where that came from). Bella applies to be his submissive, and I’m sure you can guess how the story goes from there. This story is in Bella’s point of view. I suggest you start this one first.

The accompaning story, The Dominant, is all of The Submissive from Edward’s point of view. I’m only a few chapters into this one, but I’m still loving it.

The Training, which is a more recent story, is a sequel to the first two stories that switches back and forth between both point of views. This one was popular from the start since it already had a built in fan base. In this story, Edward and Bella attempt to be in a typical “normal” relationship together while still living the BDSM lifestyle on weekends. Not sure how this is going to work out since this fic is only a few chapters in, but I can’t wait to find out.

These stories are a little off the path, sure. But they are amazingly written, they will keep you engaged, and according to some of the reviews of the story I’ve read, it’s a pretty accurate portrayal of certain aspects of the actual BDSM lifestyle. If you have ever been slightly curious about how this sort of thing goes on between two consenting adults, this would be a good way to learn a little about it.
