HOT Fan Fiction: “The Office” UPDATED 4/15.10

UPDATE:This is a very old post, but people are still searching for this story like crazy. Trust me, I totally understand. But as you probably already figured out, The Office has been removed from fanfiction.net and other fan fic websites. Unfortunately, it seems that if you go to the author’s website tby789.com, The Office is listed as “Not Currently Available”. I don’t know what this means. I don’t know if this means she will bring the story back sometime in the future, or if it will stay of the internet forever.  The good news is that her website is under construction, so maybe we will get an answer soon! Stay tuned…

I’ve been hearing about this fan fic forver. For about as long as I’ve had this blog and started making friends with the wonderful people over there in my blogroll, I’ve read raves about the “Beautiful Bastard” and the lemons in this story. I actually didn’t know what the term “lemons*” stood for until I looked it up before I read Wide Awake, so until then, I was pretty lost on why everyone seemed to like fruit so much.

(* to save anyone who doesn’t yet know from looking it up, “lemons” is a term meant to signify sex scenes in the story)

The past two weeks, I’ve slowly been compiling a list of the fan fiction I want to read. (Thanks to K_InTheFlo on Twitter and to Susie from Apples N Feathers for sending me some good links. Susie even has a blog dedicated to the best Twilight fan fic out there.)I sure picked a hell of a time to do this, since I started another semester of college this week and I already know about myself that once I start a good fan fiction, I can’t stop for anything. But I figure I need some brain candy for my study breaks.

The Office had been on my list for a few days, and a few days ago, I saw that it was only 15 chapters (y’all, I thought it was done) and decided to go ahead and get that one knocked out of the way.

A quick overview of the plot: Edward Cullen is Bella Swan’s boss. They really do not get along. They start hatefucking. It is hot. As the affair continues, they both slowly realize they want more. It’s extremely sweet.

For those who haven’t read this story, I will say that it is absolutely FULL of lemons. There are lemons happening in every damn chapter, and it is freakin’ awesome. I’ve noticed that usually when the author’s main concern in the story is sex, there is no real plot or the writing is not really advanced enough to pull this off. That is not the case with this fan fic. This story is so well written, I found myself already liking Bella’s character after only the first few paragraphs. I could relate (up until a certain point of course) because, who among us hasn’t had that awful boss from hell? (Unfortunately for me, none of my evil asshole bosses looked a thing like Rob or Edward and were usually just crotchety old ladies. Sucks.)

I read all the chapters up thinking the story was finished. As I was reading, and crept closer to that last chaopter, I realized that there was no way there could be a decent ending to the story if it ended so fast. I got a cold chill in my tummy area as I realized that I had started a fan fic that wasn’t completed yet, and I’m not going to get to finish until it’s done.

If you don’t read fan fictions until they are completed, then don’t read this story yet. You WILL be jonesing for another chapter like a crack head needs a hit, and I love y’all too much to put you through that.

BUT

I DO need some of y’all to read it too so I can have someone to comiserate with in my addiction to this story. I have been crossing my fingers every day and checking The Office blog every day to see if there are updates. I’m even going back and re-reading the other chapters. Please. I need help. I need support. Click that link down there if you really love me.

    I just started reading this fanfic a week ago and finished it over the weekend. I am now going crazy waiting for the next chapter. It is just an excellent fanfic.

    Me too! On the blog I linked to up in the post, she puts small teasers out for the chapters. She put one up for the next chapter not too long ago. I can’t wait!

    I just read The Office this past weekend…had the same reaction when I realized that it wasn’t completed. Eek! It’s just so good. I’d like to suggest A Twisted Twilight Tale. Also not complete, but so far so good. Really imaginative with her new characters that she has created.

    Okay, so I wound up reading the entire thing last night. I got sucked in and stayed up way past my bedtime reading. It’s really quite good (to put it mildly.)

    That’s exactly what I did. This has got to be one of the fan fics out there that not only has a good story, but excellent writing too. I really can’t believe this was her first try. She could definitely be a published writer if she wanted, especially if she kept writing erotica.

    I started to read it last year…I waited a long while for an update but it never came. And suddenly it was gone! I want to read the rest! Its such a hot and good story…the best fanfic I ever have read!
