You’re Telling Me There Will Be None Of This On The New Moon Soundtrack!?

It’s been pretty slow news lately (aside from the whole Victoria debacle), and I’ve been pretty bored, just hanging out on Twitter basically all day.

I finally decided to join this site called Blip.fm that I noticed a lot of people on Twitter using to tweet Rob songs and quotes. (Thanks to @I_luv_spunk for giving me the idea! You picked some really awesome Rob songs to “blip”!)

As I was setting up my profile and listening to Rob songs at the same time, I realized I had forgotten just how talented he is at singing and writing music. The truth is, I don’t really like to listen to his stuff on youtube because it makes me REALLY REALLY wish he would release a CD (nothing with a major label or anything, just something official) so I could take it with me anywhere.

Anyway, as I was listening to Rob sing his heart out, I started thinking about the New Moon soundtrack, and how I am really going to feel the lack of Rob’s contribution if they really don’t use any of his music. I’m not sure if this is because Rob doesn’t want his music on it (which I can understand), or if they are just holding out on us and there will be something of his on the soundtrack as a surprise. I’m hoping it’s the latter, but only if Rob wants to share with the rest of us.

Anyway, here is a refresher on what we are most likely missing out on for the New Moon soundtrack. (Keep in mind these are mostly recorded from open mic nights, so the sound is going to be a little wonky in places)

Just go ahead and tell me this song is perfect for New Moon because it so obviously is:

*Wipes back tears* Read those lyrics (on the videos youtube link in the “more info”). That would go along so well with Edward leaving Bella then coming back in New Moon.

This next one is another one of my favorites. I have this downloaded on my computer. A lot of people don’t realize this is actually a Van Morrison cover, one of Rob’s favorite artists.

I love that little laugh he does in the middle! He’s going to sing that song to me every night when we are married *sigh*

This next song makes me think of laying in bed on a lazy day, listening to the rain outside.

I’m just going to say I can’t pick a favorite of these. I love them all too much.

And of course, two of the best songs on the Twilight soundtrack:

Hearing that song takes me right back to the first time I heard it while watching Twilight for the first time. One of my most favorite songs of all time. My favorite line is, “She’s saying oh please, I’m in love. I’m in love.”

I love this one for my angsty moods. This is a good one to take a walk alone to.

Ugh. This is just making me even more bummed knowing he’s not going to be on the New Moon soundtrack. I’m definitely going to be mourning that loss.
