I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty bummed out about this news. I think Rachelle made an amazing and beautiful Victoria and I will miss her so much in Eclipse.

   I know how you feel. I’m already thinking of how weird it’s going to be to see someone else in that role.

   Im trying not be too mad at Summit because this all occurred because of Rachelle’s scheduling conflicts. We will see how it goes.

   I really really hope this conflict of schedule can be resolved and she can work in whatever other movie and in Eclipse too

   Me too, that’s what I’m keeping my fingers crossed for. But you have to wonder, how long has this discussion been going on, and none of the fans heard a word of it? I think that’s a little odd, considering how we all usually know things way in advance. And why did she agree to another movie if she wanted to be in Eclipse? Surely she would have known the filming schedule?

   Hmmm….

   Yep it is way weird, plus in all the interviews I’ve seen of her, she’s always said she’s looking forward to the big fight scene in Eclipse and not once did she hesitate on saying so. And how can she just get out of her contract? she was signed on for the 3 first movies of the saga…

   Sigma Twi Omega has posted a statement from Rachelle, basically it was ten days that Summit was apparently unwilling to work around, and they recast. Sounds like she was blindsided too.

   For anyone that saw Twilight and then began reading the saga, the characters in the books were visualized as the people playing them in the movie. So removing Rachelle from her part as Victoria is simply unexceptable for those of us that have already seen Eclipse played out in our minds as we read. I really don’t think Summit understands the depth of Twilight fans and how pivitol these roles are. But fat wallets and big production screw everyone unfortunately! Rachelle will be missed terribly, she was a perfect Victoria!

    I completely understand what you mean. I was a late comer to the series as well, reading Twilight the night before I went to the midnight premiere of the movie. The actors helped me visualize the characters in my head as I was reading and Rachelle WAS Victoria for me. I’m really bummed out by this.

    This whole thing kind of reminds me when they switched the Darrens on the old TV show Bewitched. I guess since that didn’t really cause too many problems that’s it’s ok.

    omg!!! I’m so sad that Rachel is not going to be in eclipse!! SHE was a PERFECT Victoria with her firing red hair !! i’m such a huge fan of twilight and with out Rachel its not gonna work. She always puts her heart into the twilight saga, its just not fair !!
