Rob Mobbed By Fans/Working in NYC

So wow. I was asleep until just an hour ago and while I was snuggled in my bed with Kitty, dead to the world, the shiz hit the fan in NYC. A lot went down and there were cameras there to capture all of it.

When I logged on to Twitter while I was still bleary eyed and had bad morning (evening?) breath, everyone I’m following was FREAKING OUT and saying things like, “Stalkers in NYC need to chill out!” I was puzzled and mildly alarmed as I read tweet after tweet discussing “the fangirl incident” this morning and then my phone rings. I scramble to answer it and it’s Jeremy calling from NYC to ask me if I had seen pictures from this morning.

Now, I have about 50 tabs open in my browser and there are Rob pictures galore. I’m going to put everything in one posts and links to more so we can keep this organized.

OK first, let’s get to the “incident”. Rob was attacked by a band of fangirls this morning as he was trying to get to work. See Lainey and Socialite Life for more pictures of the mobbing.

Look at that one girl in the blue shirt. She is for serious. She’s even carrying all her Rob-stalking gear in a Twilight tote bag.

All I can say is, “Wow.” What would make someone think it’s ok to act like that around him? I mean, at least treat him with respect because, as hot as he is, he is still human being who probably doesn’t like to have his eardrum busted by screeching and screaming as you yank on his neck.

After Rob was nearly squeed to death, he went to work. They are filming some scenes for Remember Me around Washington Square Park and Rob was seen looking relatively relaxed (and completely gorgeous) in spite of the morning’s events.
